Welcome aboard
What this blog is about: electronics, 3D printing, and using AI as a build partner, written up as honest project logs.
This is a lab notebook for the things I build at the intersection of electronics, 3D printing, and AI.
Each post is a project log: what I set out to make, the parts and why I picked them, the wiring, the firmware, the printed enclosure, and what went wrong along the way. When I can, I’ll share the code and the print files so you can build your own.
AI shows up as a tool, not the topic. I use it to compare parts, sketch wiring diagrams, draft firmware, model enclosures, and even simulate a circuit before the parts arrive. I’ll be specific about where it helped and where it was confidently wrong.
What to expect
- Electronics: ESP32 boards, addressable LEDs, batteries, sensors, wireless sync
- 3D printing: enclosures, diffusers, parametric parts, and print settings that worked
- AI in the loop: the prompts, the parts it got right, and the corrections
Here’s the kind of thing you’ll see in a post:
// Every unit computes its color from a shared clock,
// so 22 tables change at the same moment.
uint8_t colorIndex = (showClock() / 120000UL) % NUM_COLORS;
First real project write-up coming soon.
